Tuition

What does tuition cover? Tuition is based on a comprehensive year of study, not just individual lessons. Tuition covers not only the actual time spent with the student, but the hours spent in preparation, including:

  • An individualized plan for the student’s course of study.

  • Selection of repertoire, specific for each student.

  • Development of teaching materials

  • Gas expenses (for those participating with in home lessons)

Cancelled and Makeup Lessons

  • Please understand that the tuition paid reserves an exclusive weekly time in the schedule of your child, similar to purchasing a ticket to a concert. • No payment credit will be provided for no show lessons

  • No payment credit will be provided for cancellations within 24 hours.

  • Please be sure to choose a lesson time in which you feel confident that you have no conflicts.

  • If Ms. Jackie must cancel a lesson, a makeup lesson will always be provided.

  • Facetime or Zoom lessons, as well as shared videos with exchange of feedback are valid alternatives for a lesson if one cannot be attended.

  • In person makeup lessons are a rarity and made at the discretion of the teacher depending on availability. They are not to be expected for every or any cancellation.

  • 1 credit per semester is permitted for unavoidable conflicts such as illness or family emergency. I will issue a refund in this case.
