The Story
Purple Piano Studios is the private studio of Jackie Malone. The mission is to educate all ages and help any musician achieve their piano artistry, performance, and theory goals.
Jackie Malone began piano lessons at age 4, and spent ages 7-18 studying under the tutelage of Shirley Irek. Jackie earned a piano performance undergraduate degree studying with Dr. Martha Thomas at the University of Georgia. Through her teachers’ lineage she can trace her education back to Beethoven. She has performed with musical groups in Vienna, Budapest, and Prague, as well as Idylwild Chamber Music program in Idylwild, California.
Though Jackie is classically trained and focused, she appreciates and nurtures a love of other genres. Her approach and philosophy on piano education is to foster a love for music while instilling discipline, focus, and persistence in the student’s musical endeavors. It is Jackie’s firm belief that piano lessons are as fundamentally creative as they are a commitment, and her desire is to encourage both imagination and tenacity.
